We’ve also added Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) to support collagen production for firm, youthful skin, along with Vitamin E (Quali®-E dl-α-Tocopherol) and Selenium Yeast to shield the skin from environmental stressors like extreme weather conditions and exposure to free radicals.

Empirical Research:
A clinical study from Tokai University evaluated the skin-moisturizing effects of plant-derived ceramides.
During the study, the skin hydration and water loss on the legs of the participants were monitored for three weeks - with half the participants taking the ceramide orally and the other half taking a placebo.
The results?
The participants who took 20 or 40 mg of ceramides daily for 3 weeks showed an increase in skin moisture to 290% and 394%, respectively, compared to just 141% for those in the placebo group.
The skin’s water loss was also reduced to 33% and 14%, respectively, compared to 69% with a placebo.
These suggest that plant ceramides are effective as skin moisturizers when taken orally.
