Empirical Research: 

Organic Sulphur

Organic Sulphur plays a vital role in the keratin production. Keratin is one of the key proteins in our hair and nails.

A clinical study was conducted to determine the effects of sulphur-containing supplements on hair and nails.

A group of 63 middle-aged women were divided into two groups (1g and 3g organic sulphur-containing supplements) via a double-blind, placebo-controlled study. The subjects were instructed to take the capsule for 4 months.

The result shows that the group taking 3g of sulphur-containing supplements significantly improved overall hair health.

Horsetail Extract

Horsetail extract is known to have high silica content that helps to strengthen hair, skin, and nails, supporting overall appearance and resilience. Silica is derived from the compound of silicon.

Silicon is the second most abundant element on earth. It is found naturally in water in the form of orthosilicic acid (OSA). Choline-stabilized orthosilicic acid (ch-OSA) is a bioavailable form of silicon. 

In a study with 50 healthy volunteers, aged between 40 and 65 years and with clear clinical signs of facial photoaging, were held for a period of 20 weeks, with 2 capsules containing 10 mg of ch-OSA taken daily. Result show that there were significant improvement in the fragility of nails and hair in the group using the ch-OSA as compared to the placebo group.

Another randomized study involving 48 volunteers who were given10 mg of ch-OSA taken daily for 9 months, show improved hair properties such as strand resistance and strand front section area after 9 months, compared to the placebo group, which showed no significant difference.
